You don't need javascript at all to render. Oh for a version of the WWW that never allowed javascript at all.... money destroys absolutely everything it touches.

Ah, I stand corrected. I have more recent examples but I struggle to recall them. Map and Set were certainly the two largest absences I remember.

Javascript doesn't have a good enough standard library to execute on this. You need frameworks just to patch up the runtime (or otherwise avoid the holes). Last time I checked they didn't even have decent hashmap or set implementa

Why does FE development have such churn? Desktop toolkits from 30 years ago work just as performantly today; what is so difficult about the browser that demands constant framework updates?

Huh! I just spent an hour diving in and I see now. Crazy giving up that much control of your product to a third party. I can definitely see the appeal to spike realtime/chat projects, though—they really leaned into that api design well

Hmm, maybe you are referring to something specific with "workflow". I'm envision a visual graph with a ui for each node and connection, or maybe a makefile on the other end of the spectrum. What are you envisioning? Anyway, L

Sure, but most comments on the internet (very much including this forum) offer zero or negative "value" to the reader. What we're doing now is typically called "socializing and discussing topics of the day", which i

It sounds like reading from a script, or like an influencer. In that sense it's quite good: i could buy this is human. However it's not a very good reading of the script, in human terms. It feels even more forced and phony than

Bro, come on. Apple hasn't even tried to pretend they're in the server game for at least a decade now. You're paying for dozens of features you'll never use. They don't even have drivers for their own hardware outsi

I'm assuming Biden was actively lobbied by many, many interests to stomp on the railway worker strike a couple years ago. Do you think there's any weight to that?

Both of these tools hit the sweet spot starting out—good performance for cheap (not entirely true if you consider the free tier of sql services, but I've had bad experiences with those). It's the lock-in and traffic that kills y

The entire concept of being nonpartisan strikes me as dumb. If you want an effective government, that is. The parties are far more similar than they are different. Partisan claims are therefore a) trivial and largely meaningless, b) obvious

I see your point, but also consider that interactivity comes to mind in part because 3d models are so expensive to describe compared to 2d shapes that they're largely worth it for interactive stuff. We might see more innovation on that
