I mean, I understand the sentiment. At the same time, most of the consumers of said plastics are living longer than previous generations. I don't think it's as bad as you make it out. Granted, at some point the human race will n

In most cases, I would bet the CO2 impact of the alternatives you list is on the order of 2x - 10x. So long as plastics are not being burned, at least their carbon is not going into the atmosphere.

If the physical WiFi card can be replaced with one with a well supported chipset, I would go that route. I would first confirm that the one you have is poorly supported, which seems likely.

I think the hardware isolation would be a selling point in some cases. Granted, it's niche.

A bit disingenuous to say N64 games cost $52 USD to manufacture. They did in 2021 dollars, but that's $30 in 1996 dollars when the console was released. The cost almost certainly went down as time went on.

Are you aware of any drawbacks to this? The page listed says explicitly that it's not intended to replace data collected from gtag, Tag Manager, and Google Analytics.

It's not clear why you are compelled to do this, or what benefit for either party would be achieved by doing it. What do you hope will happen by telling your "day job" about your "concrete company"?

As someone who left mid-college to do software development work, I regret not completing a degree of some kind. (I was studying electrical engineering.) I would say, for me, it actually would have been good to spend a few years working in

Thanks for writing this. This was my sentiment as well. I feel that the anecdotes about cash flow are somewhat interesting, but the whole 'proving an argument' narrative is unsubstantiable fluff. The cash flow strategies are thin

I would guess the main reason it gets recommended to beginners is because it's the most prominent language with the most minimalist syntax, so you can read it more closely to a written language. Also, being interpreted, you don't

I'm sorry you have a bad manager. You are also likely in a company with a corporate culture where it is very difficult to let people go. Your manager may want to replace you, but it is too difficult or impossible to let you go unless

All of ours is setup with Terraform. Built a module to transform a JSON file with a list of DNS records into CloudFlare DNS record entries. The other config is less cumbersome to just write in straight HCL.

I doubt there is much technically in the way other than it being of fairly limited use in most cases. Your iPod case has a ~0.5Ah battery while an iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 4.3Ah battery. Add in the inefficiency of wireless charging and you

I suspect that for SendGrid, SMS is an important hurdle for filtering out spammers. Of course, that's relatively easy to work-around, but it doesn't feel shady to me if viewed with this context.

Did you have $11k in BTC or in cash? The way the rehabilitation proceedings are going you will either be able to recover ~20% of the cash, or ~20% of the BTC which would be a considerable gain at this point.
