Yeah, almost as bad as "You need to install Flash Player 10 to view this".

The first two were awful. Bland frame-rate, horrible aliasing on the textures, VERY wonky controls. Sorry, no one would be impressed by this just because it's running inside a web browser. I'm using Chrome on Mac OS X, Flash 10.1(built-in i

Yes, and I think it's very possible that our energy consumption continues to grow, despite the number of people on Earth stabilizes. What do you think?

"ooc is a modern, self-hosting, object-oriented, functional-ish, high-level, low-level sexy programming language, starring closures, interfaces, enums, garbage collection.." Um, why put the word "modern" together with all the other ideas fr

That is correct, but anyone that knows my IP when I download something don't know the status of my download. My client could be lying about the pieces I have and the progress I do with the download. With Rapidshare it would only take one ca

Check out Monaco or Inconsolata using Mac OS X font renderer. I think it's very comfortable and clear to look at: http://www.hashref.com/images/inconsolata.png

Immutability and OO certainly feels mutually exclusive. :-/

I thought a friend joked when he talked about Sharp Fonts. I saw their home-page and thought it was a joke too. Apparently not. Why would anyone prefer text rendered using only 1/3 of the possible pixel-information?

Not very realistic. If you put it forth like that 1-3 years ago you would have the argument, "we want IE6 support, skip the others, and of course this will not cost extra". Edit: I'm surprised to be down-voted. Many clients that have standa

I don't know. Never tried it. I'm just very happy common things like closing a window(cmd-w), quitting and app(cmd-q) have sane and comfortable short-cuts compared to Windows.

That's what people think. But Mac OS X is actually short-cut land. There are loads of short-cuts.

Maybe it is, but it does give a very unfinished feeling when just about everything scrolls at like 10-15Hz instead of silky smooth as iPhone does.

I don't agree with his "of course I still own the source code" attitude. If he uses his own framework to create the application the customer wanted, he'll have to explicitly tell them about that part. If it's an engine that presents courses

I have CrossOver Game 8.0. I used to play HaloPC a lot in it, despite horrible mouse lag. In TF2 I noticed the performance was quite a lot worse than in Win7. It works though.

I don't think people are arguing against GC being good. It's just that Objective-C did not have GC until very recently and that's they way it is. Having used lots of languages and frameworks I think that Cocoa/UIKit is very elegant despit

I'll send a big bunch of flowers to the good peeps at Valve if they deliver Steam, TF2 and CSS for Mac OS X! I already bought these games, but wouldn't mind paying a bit more again just to cover the port costs.

What you say is how I understood it too. I am doing Asp.Net WebForms development full-time since a couple years back. I think User Controls should be denied access to the query string too.
