I hope Canonical picks up GnuStep some day. I remember the first days of GNOME, a Windows-clone in looks, with an ambitious acronym "GNU Network Object Model Environment". Are they anywhere near that acronym in vision today?

Perhaps, maybe on par with seeing some home-made keyboard on screen. IMHO.

Alright, but shouldn't the solution be to allow the user to use either Google's keyboard or the built-in(by using textarea)? The built-in one has a dictionary and some autocompletion, which could be good or annoying... :)

I must say I didn't like the authors cocksure attitude that "Most of the people dislike the syntax of Obj-C and it does slow down development". And also, the whole discussion turned into a discussion about exactly how dynamically typed some

Ye well, it could be C64-specific quirks since it shared the bus with the graphics hardware. Sounds like a fun project.

I see, but that's not how it worked on the C64 at least. I did some raster-programming and counted cycles a lot.

That's not the pattern I see when looking at the op-code/cycle chart. I recently implemented part of a C64-emulator in JavaScript and it seems very much like every step takes a cycle. For example the instructions NOP(or CLI, STI, INX etc),

The 6510(6502 plus IO-ports) could do no such thing. Fastest instructions used 2 cycles and 1 byte op-code.

I checked the actual HTML generated by the asp:Label control. When no control is associated with the label, the control renders into a span element and uses a title attribute on the span to create the tooltip. Is this still a problem for ac

At work we sometimes use asp:Label instead of just putting out the text since with labels we can get a tooltip. We typically use this in table cells to present only 20 chars of a string, and have the full string as a tooltip(alt="the toolti

Are you saying you made a sort function that sorts reversed, and named it sort? What's wrong with sortDesc? I think you should be more careful with following conventions. Everyone knows sort sorts ascending.

I understand that lazyness could make it only sort as much as needed to get the first element in the sorted list. Yes, it's triggers my Rainman instincts to point out that 1. It should be max = last . sort 2. Or min = head . sort 3. You are

Back when DabbleDB was new, hot and for testers, they posted some videos on what DabbleDB is. Those videos were so good. This application was everything you wanted spreadsheets to be. Take a look: http://dabbledb.com/demo/
