The most alarming thing about witch hunts like this, is that big social corporations have all the means to control which panic will spread or be shunned. And if Stallman's FSF colleagues endorsed the panic and pressured him into resign

It is useful to have a way to represent structural and semantic information in email text (paragraphs, headings, quotes etc.), but not custom layouts and styling — that should remain under full control of the reader.

Pop culture, that's it. A rather known and obvious approach at web development needed a catchy name and dedicated promotional website so that webdevs know that's cool and trendy. Alan Kay said in 2004: «You could think of it as pu

Email is the last massively used open and independent communication system on the Internet. Unfortunately, many irresponsible users allowed Google to monopolize it by flocking to Gmail, and now Google is taking advantage of their position.

For me the ability to edit code structurally (rather than in terms of plain text) in a uniform way is a great advantage of Lisp syntax.

My mistake, I misread the docs. Anglican can actually be considered to be an embedded DSL. > An important design feature is that it is 'anti-DSL' --- the syntax is exactly the Clojure syntax. This is not "anti-DSL", t

Wouldn't a language with support for continuations (Scheme or Racket, speaking of the Lisp family) be a better choice for the task and allow this to be implemented as an embedded DSL rather than a separate (even if it is tightly integr
