Congrats! You've done a very good job, the game is really visually appealing. I've noticed a slight delay between inputs and execution (<300ms). It might be the animations length, or just the fact that I've racked up the k

I prefer to think of this as mermaid marketing . It's nice to hear them sing, but don't fall for it or they will eat you. Watching theses events is like this famous passage of the Odyssey. Once you are tightly attached, and don&#

Be able to use any language for the front end is great thing, but I have a concern for existing frameworks/libraries. If someone build a great tool, lest's say the equivalent of D3.js, in Java; I don't see a way I can use it

Sure it's a nice test, and gives a keen idea of how much performance you can grab by using uBlock Origin. However, what about pages _without_ ads? Am I going to experience a significant performance hit when running an adblocker on genu

I looked up the Interactive Advertising Bureau cited towards the ends, and ended up on a document describing guidelines to detect Click Fraud [0]. How the hell did we ended up to this level of insanity? [0]: http://www.iab.net

One particular "annoying" feature of Scala is the Java interoperability. It's obviously great because you have a large quantity of tools usable from the Java world, but it leads to large quantities of time spent wrapping them

I have a similar anecdote. I work for a company selling a recommendation platform to travel agencies, and the content we display is often similar in layout to regulars ads. It happens, from time to time, to demo a version of their own websi

It seems to me, that people in the Javascript world, like to constantly create new alternatives (or very similar) to existing frameworks or projects. It's not 100% a bad thing though.

I must second this. I worked as a TA for 2.5 years while pursuing my Master's degree, and I learned a whole lot more by teaching than by studying. The most amazing thing is to be able to tell students that you have absolutely no idea o

I have done something similar: I mapped Caps Lock to Esc on system-wide level, and it has been remarkable since. The only pitfall is when you start using someone else's computer and putting caps everywhere.
