I completely agree with this article. The iPad hardware is absolutely wonderful, it's light, gorgeous and powerful. I got the latest iPad pro to watch Netflix in bed and it fills that purpose completely. However, the OS running on the

I'm usually fairly buzzword-adverse, and I didn't follow the NoSQL/Spark/Big-Data phase when it was hip. I was also hostile to kubernetes until I had to work with it against will for a project. Since then, I completely c

I think it's a brain shortcut from "Oh nice, this thing won't startup a VM that fill my RAM and peg my CPU". Would you run `ls -l` if it were written in Java or Javascript ?

Thanks for sharing ! I'll stick to RLS for the time being, because I'd like to see it improved, but not replaced.

Overkill ? Maybe. But the amount of time saved by not going through "Just having the server side serve the Vue.js app on the main route" is insane. Simplicity is the metric you want to optimize for, because it really reduces oppo

User testing can only help you _validate_ a design, not _create_ one. You can have all testing you want but still end up with a bad design.

It's genuinely hard to make a good design for something, but if you put the time and effort required, that's the difference between Atom and VS Code. The only way I know how to make a good design, is to have a good Product Owner.

If you're going for Bose, their latest Headphones (NC 700) is something you should look at. Sony came a close second, but that was before Bose updated the QC35.

As a developer, I would be happy to pay you instead of having to develop and maintain a close cousin of your product for an obscene amount of time investment. However, I often encounter these roadblocks : 1) The product is not opensource an

The actual problem was a timing gap in biking infrastructure. You don't solve that by putting unregulated transportation vehicles on streets, especially when the needed infrastructure is being constructed.

You can truncate the history by reading events from the starting point to the junction, then creating a new snapshot that will serve as a new starting point, and finally deleting the previous history segment.
