While this raises valid concerns, Copilot and friends can actually enhance learning by exposing devs to new patterns and approaches. They still require problem-solving and critical evaluation skills. By handling routine tasks, they free up

There's ydotool, but as far as I tested with it, the only movements that work are relative movements. You can't tell it to a click a specific x/y because it will fumble badly (Nobara / Fedora 38 )

This has been a huge problem in my social circles. I really like my current android device, but my wife and our friends have iphones and we are all constantly inconvenienced by the messaging and other poor sharing options between platforms.

Anecdotal evidence here - I find that the API is less likely to ask questions about what you are doing and get straight to the answer. For example, if I were to ask how to do something with burp it will just answer instead of going into the

I have an addon that allows me to use it in Firefox. It's called 'Bing Chat for All Browsers' To be fair to Microsoft, it is a little broken in Firefox - but at least I'm able to use it now.

It really is - writing a svelte component feels like writing something in vanilla html/js/css, but you get all the advantages that come with a framework.

I created a program that allows me to control the max charge level of my laptop battery on linux, and persists the change through reboot. Written in rust, and I use it several times per week. I designed it for my system, but it should work

A lot of the replies here are recommending Ubuntu - I'm going to recommend PopOS. It's built on top of Ubuntu, but comes with a newer kernel (better new hardware compatibility), graphics drivers, and some sensible defaults. Some o

I like these. I use a no-name vps provider that offered a deal for 3core, 2G mem, 40G ssd kvm for 23/year. Could up-in-smoke any time but I've enjoyed it for the last 1.5 years. I usually look for deals on LEB. Minecraft as well;

I feel their strategy makes a lot of sense if each project is treated like a startup. Release the mvp, iterate quickly, shut it down if it isn't working... The problem is they attach the Google name for clout and then proceed to drag t

I can't speak to the 4700u or the pangolin specifically, but I can offer this perspective on PopOS/AMD: I've been using System76's PopOS with my Asus Zephyrus G14 (4800hs) as a daily driver and I really like it. (freelan
