That is a cogent and lucid argument and I completely understand your point of view and agree with it. If your original comment had resembled your above statement, I would have up-voted you and given you kudos!

I found that I tend to enjoy topics with a lot of up-votes and low comments the most. I would say that your assessment is correct. I am, however, against making that an official metric; things are working fine as is.

I did not eat the paste. I applied the paste to my teeth with my finger and let it set for approximately 30 minutes. I did this once a day for several months right before I went to bed.

I would posit that the diet presented in the article not only contributes to good dental health but also would contribute to good cardiovascular health. The diet is low on refined carbohydrates (which lead to heart disease http://www.hsph.

Great article. The fact that teeth could heal themselves was unknown to me for quite some time. I thought that if you had a cavity, you had to have it filled. I used to have horrid teeth (and the diet to match). I stopped drinking soda an

I do not believe it to be truly efficient as that would require perfect information for all parties that participate in the market. (discussion of that topic is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_information ) I do believe that it

What a fascinating woman. I especially enjoyed the fact that she is a scientist who got involved in politics. This is what a role model looks like.

I forgot to mention the benefits of Indexing from a personal perspective. It is: -Cheap (low cost) -Easy (Set it and forget it with occasional rebalancing) -Safe (As long as you are properly diversified) -Low Stress (Some portions may have

I am an adherent to the Efficient Market Hypothesis ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Market_efficiency ) and thus try to capture the market (through index funds) and minimize cost. Ideally, the best way to do this is own multiple non-correlat

Index funds based on Dividends are available but are not yet mainstream. The main purpose of an index funds is that it "aims to replicate the movements of an index of a specific financial market"( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_fund ).

I also really enjoyed it and agree that charts for other car companies would be fascinating to see. It is incredible how quickly profit margins were eaten away by obligations GM made to its employees. This is evidence to the fact that the

I'm curious as to what the overall "cost" of spam is. Other than the bandwidth cost, is spam really that big of a problem? Both my work and personal addresses rarely to ever have spam, so it really does not affect me in the slightest.

Although the article touches on a fascinating subject, I disagree with the analogy the author drew between neurons and C++ code; specifically the "lines of code per Neuron." Individual neurons do not have code. The author also advocates bu
