I think it would be more comparable if YouTube had an API that the developers had built their apps on, that mods and power users had come to rely on, and YouTube shut the API down or demanded ridiculous fees for the use with a 30 day notice

Tons! I am in active discord communities for specific characters in various fighting games, some general fighting game discords, a local one. Plus two other smaller games that I’m interested in.

It's a bit more work, but I do think that there have always been better communities for most niche topics, but they don't all live in one place. Finding out where the smart/interesting discussions are happening about a topic

I don’t know it is clear that this is proof. Apple is notorious for keeping people out of the loop late I to a product’s lifecycle. That’s not to say I think they’re making an equivalent, just that I doubt many of the employees looking to

This is awesome. I've wanted to go down this route for a while. Every time, I basically give up at the point where I decide I want to check out https://opensfx.com and then realize I don't have an easy way to get a r

Completely agree. Since I’ve enjoyed taking a look at some of the good community run wikis others have posted, I’ll shout out coppermind.net, a very useful tool when digging into the lore of Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere universe.

Yes. I'm sure it works better in some locations and worse in others, but I know at least a few people who have proactively called law enforcement agencies about being a high probability target of SWATing and related activities.
