> This leaves me in an unpleasant spot as I, where I can, avoid using google services and now need to find an alternative dialling application. AOSP dialer. Done. Don't want the truedialer app? Run CM, like it says in the post.

I mean, these are some of the most hard-line extremists alive. Of course they aren't going to reform their blasphemy laws. Pakistan is a backwards theocracy, which created the Taliban and has been attempting to spread their awful model

I'm one of the somewhat lucky ones - I file a Form 1040EZ. It's pretty simple. Fill in the boxes, do a bit of really simple math, and sign on the dotted line. My state, New Jersey, does free online filing as well. There is a silve

I don't see anything wrong if the particular amiibo is out of production. Nintendo can't get your money. If you can get it, it's a bit more murky... the content is on the disc, you're just telling the game to unlock it.

(IANAL.) Downloading ROMs is almost certainly illegal. Dumping cartridges one owns is almost certainly legal. I'm not saying that you shouldn't download ROMs, just that it isn't legally justified. The EFF says nowhere at that

Emulators on PC are far more accurate than Nintendo's. The Wii U VC in particular had a lot of problems.

I imagine it uses ClearType, Windows' subpixel font rendering software. Don't know for sure though.

This won't take long. Obligatory Computerphile/Tom Scott video on why voting machines are an awful idea; if you haven't seen it, it's a great watch: https://youtu.be/w3_0x6oaDmI

Not to mention that Nintendo took the iNES header for their own use, despite it being a product of the emulation community they espouse to hate.

It's not surprising, but still disappointing. Emulators preserve games of eras past.

It's widely known that as products are manufactured in China, the manufacturers copy the schematics and make the same product more cheaply as a generic. Sometimes they straight-up steal the molds. Sometimes they blatantly ape other man

We are beyond the point where individual action can make a difference. Legislation is necessary to stop the worst of catastrophes.

I'm not sure their brand really is being damaged. Here, we know what's going on, but I doubt the general public knows much.

Despite my comments here - I am still a Nintendo fanboy, and I like the Switch. But before I buy one, they have to fix the design flaws.

The Joy-Con issue affects all units and has nothing to do with the human body, although that obviously makes the problem worse. After five or so feet away from the console, the Joy-Cons begin to respond intermittently, making proper gamepla

I sure hope that they come out with a hardware revision, fast. I expect there to be a class-action suit regarding the left Joy-Con issues and the screen scratching issue, barring a recall.

This is their M.O. It happens with almost all of their hardware releases. They do it to generate hype by being able to say that they sold out, even if there were few units made. Also I imagine it cuts down on assembly line costs.

Nukes aren't that complicated, at least not simple gun-type devices. The tough part of making a crude nuke is getting the fissile material.

Currently, the only way to get HDMI out from the Switch is via Nintendo's dock. No other cables work. From what I understand, Nintendo is not planning to make a breakout cable or expand functionality in that area.

This is fantastic. Nintendo's OSes have traditionally been awful at least from a technical perspective. I'm looking at you, Wii U, and your 5 second wait to open the settings app.

From what I've gathered - the antennae in the Joy-Cons do not get enough power. GameXplain did a video showcasing the issue. The right Joy-Con also has the issue, to a lesser extent. Nintendo might be able to adjust the gain on the Joy
