Microsoft already has released Office Online. It's lite versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They're quite good. They get certain enhancements when you buy an Office 365 subscription (in addition to the full applications). IMH

Pay-by-article would be the death of journalism. I don't think that's an exaggeration. Everything would be clickbait.

It is in Uber's best interest to cultivate a welcoming workplace. Uber has done some shady stuff but I don't think this one is just PR. If tons of people quit Uber because the workplace culture is terrible, they'll suffer bra

This move is good at least from an ideological standpoint, as Google Play Services undoubtedly leaks data. Signal is of course not heavily reliant on Google Play Services; thus seems like a good solution for the most security-conscious, eve

I wonder if they've switched to preemptive multitasking. (No pun intended, although as I've found in conversations with friends, that one's going to pop up a lot.)

We will have our Fourth Amendment. I'm actually not surprised it's Microsoft leading the charge here. After all, if they capitulate, their presence in the EU will be greatly diminished.

"In Valve's eyes it's quality/quantity of available software, rather than price of entry, that's keeping a lot of people from buying into the VR market." This is absurd. Price is absolutely the limiting factor.
