But this is not a unique idea. I've already seen several companies doing the _exact_ same thing. What does IsThisLost bring to the table? And what reason do we have to assume you're going to fare better than any of those other companies?

I think it's even more ridiculous than that - this is a decades old idea. In the 80s (and probably earlier), we had light-weight computer terminals connecting to mainframes. All Bezos did was combine that with a tablet. Good idea? Yes. Pate

Well I still want to know where all those fizzbuzz claims come from. Otherwise, I think you're largely right. But there's a lot of variation especially within that third group. I'm going to cautiously put myself into that third group. The p

Not too mention that many of those contrived problems are recycled, so a little studying goes a long way. What exactly does that prove?

I've heard various numbers like this thrown around, but I'm having a hard time seeing how it could possibly be that high. Is that figure coming from personal experience? I also struggle with that idea since I'm very capable of programming f

From the article: "Right now, the Arduino isn’t reading serial data from the BLE module, it’s pretty much working as a pass-through for whatever the BLE module says. It reads the value of three of the BLE’s GPIO’s to control each color of

First, vegetarianism is not synonymous with soy eating. Second, the majority of soy is used to feed food animals (even grass-fed, which generally does not count how the animals are "finished"). Fourth, free range is a joke. Sure there are s

Oh I know... someone said ruby is two parts Perl, one part Python, and one part Smalltalk. I like to think it's a bit less Perl than that, but my judgement is clouded - I'm a bit of a Perl hater.

Not that I want Ruby to be anything like PHP and Perl, but this is the same thing that happens in those languages due to the difference in precedence of and, &&.

There is a certain inescapable problem even with small farms raising layer hens. I know exactly how this plays out large-scale and some idea on a smaller farm. There are different breeds that are raised as layers and for meat. Layers have b

Yes, local farmers. Even small farmers and people who have a flock in their backyard generally get there hens from large-scale facilities that routinely kill the male chicks within hours of hatching (usually in terrible ways).

Even though you don't know ruby, you should really check out the source code. It's very simple. __FILE__ is a reference to the current file name. If you'd looked at the source code, you'd see that it's actually a pretty cheap quine, since i
