Tesla is not an efficiency king either though... My 2016 ioniq does ~12kWh/100km whereas tesla is closer to 22kWh/100km

Following [0], L-DAC (liquid direct air capture) consumes 6GJ/tCO₂. That's 600g CO₂/kWh of electricity. A bit more than what I though. It would be interesting to see the global lifecycle analysis though; I'm interested t

That's partly what I do, but by running Folding@Home during the day (I have solar panels, and I export a lot of electricity). Free heat + compute capacity science

Yeah, that's a shame. It's really strange to me when I compare a car from 30 years ago to a car produced now. Why would I need 1600kg to transport 2 70kg persons ? Makes sense somewhat (I want comfort features like airbags, aircon

However, insect hotels should be cleaned (emptied out) periodically or they can harbor viruses/bacteria and contaminate more insects.

Tesla is not the only fast charging network though. In Switzerland for example there are many (Move, GoFast, Ionity, etc.) and some are even cheaper than Tesla.

The EU hasn't banned 8k TVs per se. As written in your article, it has only banned energy inefficient TVs (which 8k ones were except of until now)

I'm sorry but this is simply not true. In central EU, you can travel anywhere without any check. And this is huge compared to 20 years ago

Same here. I was an ardent vim user for 10+ years. Then I found VSCode and switched entirely to it. However, the VIM extension allows me to keep some vim efficient shortcuts which I found are faster than not using them (i.e. I try not to us

3M sells fusion-less APC and UPC connectors that you can insert into any (well cut) fiber. I used them to fiber my home too without using a fusion machine. I was really dubious at first but they work really well

At my previous job, we had a whole infrastructure which was IPv6 only (a dozen k8s clusters). Everything worked really well (though I had to make some PRs on projects to make them v6-compatible). However, we still needed a NAT64/DNS64

This doesn't take into account maintenance, which makes a huge difference ! My EV car (hyundai ioniq 2016) has now 100'000 km (62'000 mi) and I never once went to the garage for a service (except for tyres of course). Brake p
