I usually search by EUR/Wp if space is not an issue. Else, by efficiency (like for your van)

It'll exchange you for a new one. But once you own thousands of fridges, I'm sure it's more economical to repair them afterwards with in-house technicians

Negative prices (i.e. excess of energy), and really high ones (lack of it) rarely happen. When they do, there is ancillary services that take over (which there is plenty in Europe). Actually, the share of intermittent renewable energy is ne

Curious question: what's wrong with 420$/share ?

Of course he was in the wrong, but in other countries, you would have the manager come to you and tell you you mistakenly took some cash of the tip jars. It seems surreal to me that you would have the cops called on you for 3 bucks.. what h

For those who don't catch it, it's from the "the three body problem" book. I highly recommend it to anyone if you like a techy sci fi with philosophical questions.

Hi highly recommend anyone to read Ernst Stuhlinger's (former NASA administrator) letter to a nun in Africa : https://launiusr.wordpress.com/2012/02/08/why-explore-space-...

It's illegal, but I would love to see a torrent with all these iso norms out there

Actually I do. I bought a domain of my shortened initials and this domain catches all the emails sent to it. Every entity gets a custom address: bank@my-in.com, ikea@..., Etc. It's very useful

OP has a scientific background. -1 is meant as "to the power of -1". Thus, s-1 becomes 1/s, and the entire thing Mb/s Never seen that either

Try plotting a 2x10000 range in libreoffice. Takes > 2 Mon just to render the graph. I'd be happy to provide the CSV to anyone interested

Yes, but number of bikes is limited by space and not by dock places.

by F_r_k 8y ago
In Geneva, we have dockless bikes, but they are not everywhere. Why ? The bikes need to connect to an antenna (bike point). The range is only few meters, so you can only dock them in designated spots. Quite clever I think.

Why are you so negative ? It's a curiosity. I find it funny that a company designed a rugged coffee machine because they found there was a need for it

You can gzip that

Some of them do, but the overhead is ridiculous. I don't have the data in mind, but I think that the NoBreak brand consumes 20kW+ just idling. It's ridiculous

How can you search effectively for a specific article ? Is there an index with all the files in all the zip files of every torrent ?

Yes. Each donation is subdivided

Except if you have interoperability laws in effect (like in Switzerland you can take a bus, a boat, or a train with the same ticket, yet they are different companies).

Maybe, but those 1% remaining (thousands of articles) about physics, engineering, and so on are a goldmine if you are stranded without anything else. It would be dumb no to take it as the complete dump is < 1Tb

I find Memrise much more interesting and "powerful". It only shows you sentences and relies on your brain to know how the grammar works (a bit like how a child learns how to speak).
