Which do you think an insurance company prefers: a full hull loss, or a full hull loss and multiple wrongful death lawsuits? Insurance companies DO love it. Some even waive the deductible if you pull.

Technically it's not difficult (with some research) - buy transit DIAs from local providers, get some IP resources, peer, and lay fiber or build out fixed wireless. I suspect the hardest part is regulatory, and doing customer service.

It is correct because a TUN interface is not the same as a TAP interface. The latter is layer 2.

> Nearly everyone either bought a new home or refinanced within the last 12-18 months due to historically low rates. This also means that almost all mortgages are pretty much capped out in terms of loan to value. How do you figure? Refin

I am trying to understand the rationale behind this. Is there some industry or region where Long, Lat is the customary way of representing a location? I have never seen that before.

You know what would make a real difference? If Amazon offered a lockable "delivery box" or some kind of reusable delivery packaging. By far my biggest source of packaging waste are 12x12 Amazon boxes used to package a toothbrush o

I am curious what you found complex - was it the PKI? I was able to get Nebula up and running WAY faster than any of the others. It's two (well really only one) binaries and a config file - the simplicity is awesome.

It’s not so much that they deviate from the norm (quite the opposite, there’s a manual that dictates exact phraseology), it’s just that there’s SO MUCH traffic that they don’t have time to hold hands, and they expect you to be competent. In

Because airplanes still use engine designs from 70 years ago. Your next question is: why? Same reason it takes 12 years to get a replacement fuel approved.

It doesn't. They might do that during an IRAN (Inspect and Repair As Necessary) which is essentially a full engine teardown, easily 5 figures. Certainly not done every 200 hours. Maybe it's a conflation of many piston aircraft eng

This is such a mess, and it highlights how ineffective the FAA has gotten. I don't want to hear them act like this is an "abundance of caution" when this very same organization pushed the 737 MAX right through. Maybe the prob

Many gliders and helicopters have yaw strings. Airplanes don’t, because they usually have a slip/skid indicator which tells you the same thing. But once you’ve been flying a while, you don’t really need it, you can feel it.

tbh I don't know on transport class planes. The GA aircraft I fly won't STFU about traffic on the ground though, quite annoying. I still would have missed it in this case as I'm used to tuning it out on the ground.

Even better, these could be generation systems hooked up to an electric motor and energy buffer (battery). Put the prop on the motor, keep the whole transmission system electric, and stick one or more of these somewhere else making power.
