Try to save a webm if it serves you an mp4, though. Maybe they changed it lately, but I just could not figure it out - .webm and .mp4 both just silently redirected to .gifv last I tried.

It's such a mess though. You have gif with all its quality loss (256 colors and etc.), and then to make matters worse it's getting shoved through webm/mp4 encoding. And then there's everyone from Imgur to Twitter missing

Yeah, same. Really fell in love with Miller columns and don't have a good file manager replacement on other OS. Even worse, apparently both Thunar and Nautilus dropped their implementations.

Aesthetic. How feasible is it to actually use whatever file manager GNUstep has outside of it?

Torn between Windows and Linux at the moment. I know Elementary's file manager has Miller columns, but it's a pain to get it on Fedora, which I prefer over Debian-based distros. For Windows I have no idea.

The thing I'll miss the most about OS X is Miller columns in Finder.

This. Still stuck on OS X Yosemite as the one I'm least displeased with. Actually tried to put Windows 10 on a second laptop, but Lenovo's terrible drivers for just about everything - from broken trackpad acceleration to Intel HD

Well, since we are going to have a headphone jack debate at some point in this thread anyway, I've got a question. How are wireless headphones dealing with something as simple as switching to a different device? I can just replug my wi

Scaling factor should definitely be treated the same way as the screen resolution - and I will disagree with screen resolution not being a user preference. The last point, while acknowledging the poor hardware's existence, assumes that

Need to do some more testing, but I have suspicions that Chrome actually doesn't put the sound icon on the tab if it's playing silent audio.

I honestly haven't paid attention to elementaryOS drama, but I don't want to give them shit if they are at least trying, even if not entirely successfully. I admire open source, but open source software suffers very strongly from

For note taking, I generally stick to first writing things down on paper, then copying them to OneNote later. I figure this gives me the best of both worlds, I get the better retention from handwriting, get to review my notes as I copy them
