It's not the same. Aesbestos makers knew, their customers didn't, and they actively fought against the customers knowing it. Whereas NaOH makers know and go as far as writing it on the packaging.

It's definitely different to have a prediction than a database. Especially for something that can be denied like religious belief. If the nazis had such a db they would have killed much more efficiently I think.
