Fun (actually it's not very fun) story... Some years ago I went and visited my parents house where I grew up. I actually found my old computer in the attic, that I hadn't used since I was 15-16 or so. I was excited to see what it

What do you mean by this: "with that the risk of being arrested for all sorts of criminal activity by non-tech-savvy law enforcement" You can be arrested for things just by using Tor if they mix you up with someone else or somethi

Something so obvious I guess I never realized. So when electricity moves, the nucleus stays still, and the electrons are what move?

by Exuma 8y ago
Hmm.. I feel crazy but... is that how atom nucleus' work??? Why does the charge completely "exit" the atom? WTF?

Id argue the web workers are better (although they are paid for), only because you have full control over what to do with them (like showing them a message that you're not GDPR compliant in their area yet, etc)

Why wouldn't you use the built in `request.headers.get("CF-IpCountry")`? This is a very weak and lame attempt at just getting people to use your service when it's already built in...

So if you're paying for a useful service, you don't care about helping that SAAS company to optimize their campaigns, to net them more revenue, so they can build a better service that you're using??
917.
by Exuma 8y ago
Well... chances are if you're going to PAY for a service, then you find it useful do you not? They might have found you as a customer from different advertising channels. Better optimization means more customers, means more revenue, wh

This will ruin a lot of legitimate uses that's not paranoia-induced security protection... I would recommend not using that and simply using uBlock Origin, so people can still read where their users are coming from on their campaigns.

Completely disagree about the solution, I use that all the time and it's very useful. This would be a Netflix issue IMO for not validating emails properly and allowing duplicate signups.

This is my absolute favorite screencast series ever. Just saw that he's having a free week and wanted to put it out there. If you haven't watched any of Gary's videos, check them out. They seriously rock.
