Do you happen to have a reference for that or a specific link to learn more? That sounds oddly specific.

At the end of the day, it's still only shuffling around where you define your constraints, because you need them either way. Whether you define a rigid API endpoint for the frontend (named the problem in the article) and handle access

Not necessarily, this is a classic misunderstanding. As a famous example, Uber did not make a profit for 14 years, all the way up to 2023. For taxable profit it's even more severe, they've built up a considerable backlog of losses

I don't think the last paragraph is correct, many unicorns don't generate profit, yet are hugely successful by any other metric. In many cases, generating profit is actually undesirable for tax reasons.

Being caring and kind are simple examples of moral compasses that are considerably better than being as right as you can be. Your comment is a great example of the kind of person I'm trying to exemplify, you make up a lot of nonsense n

Out of curiosity, why do you think being as rational as you possibly can is a goal in and of itself. Mark Manson has a whole bit on this, in The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck if I recall correctly, that lobotomized people would fit that d

As with most things, this is an issue of education and awareness. It's not that most developers intentionally break accessibility, but rather that a very large number of developers simply don't even know it's an issue, let al

The only shortcoming is that they currently use opacity even if there is only one author. In that case, it would seem natural to render the text as-is.

I'm not sure I'm convinced. I speak a small European language and the general experience is that LLMs are often wrong exactly because they think they can just borrow from a related language. The result is even worse and often make

As a native of another small European language, no state of the art model comes anywhere close to not being laughably bad, so more work in this space is definitely welcomed as far as I'm concerned.

It very much is, because stocks don't start at zero and your entry point will also not be zero. You can be deep in the red long before the stock gets anywhere close to zero. Even when a stock hits zero it doesn't always mean somet

Charts like this are standard practice in finance. You're interested in the relative movement, not absolute numbers, so a chart that starts from zero is practically useless since the change you're trying to see is too small.

There are people who do both all the time, commit blind and merge blind. Reasonable organizations have safeguards that try and block this, but it still happens. If something like this gets buried in a large diff and the reviewer doesn'
