It's not collusion if every other firm raises salaries only to remain competitive, and I doubt many people are complaining about higher salaries. The companies you mention had secret no-hire agreements in place.

There are plenty of legitimate short sellers, and there are scumbags as well. Why _wouldn't_ they share the resesarch? Of course they're biased, they hold a position. Everyone knows that. It doesn't make them wrong.

Not for the banks after 2008. I think far more people should have been arrested, but the reason our banks have enough liquidity to ride this out is due to regulations out in place after the last bailout.
