Lets not say that Google and Pharma companies operate under the same conditions. There are enough of brainjuice in the world to study both in isolation.

Concrete production creates large amounts of CO2. Wood production does not. Also steel production procduces a lot of CO2. So much in fact that some steelworks are switching to hydrogen instead of coalbased for its steel.

Yes, usually there is a thing called tjänsteledigt. Which basically means that you can ask your employer for a ”pause” in your employment. I believe they are required by law to let you keep your employment.

I picked up graphics maybe three years ago and have been mostly learnt all the stuff I needed through different sites scattered all over the internet. For ray tracing Peter Shirleys books are very good. OpenGL stuff are usually found at doc

I feel like a development such as the C++ standard needs to deprecate things a lot faster than they currently do. Imagine in 15 years time when C++ compilers are so complicated that they become self-aware and decide to get rid of us program

People should read up on Galois theory and the story behind it. It involves a french youth, the french revolution, groundbreaking maths, and tangentially Poisson, Fourier and Cauchy, Gauss, Jacobi. His life should be a movie. :-)
