The more I see of 'original' captchas, the more I think people should be taking the same attitude towards captchas as they do to cryptography. Just use a well known library that has proved to be hard to break by the test of time and heavy u

I'd double check that next time you buy a new ThinkPad. I broke the screen on mine recently, and chose to replace it myself after being quoted an eyewatering (nearly cost of laptop) amount to have it repaired. The tech support person told m

I'm slap bang in your target audience, and at first the idea sounds great. Personally I wouldn't want a "get a site like this for free" ad on my page. I also kinda agree with ohgodthecat that it's a bit disordered. I love the animations and

There's a lesson in how to make a product in VLC's success. It has a horribly unfriendly interface, and is certainly not pretty, but it doesn't matter - Whatever media file you point it at, you can feel confident that VLC will play it, with

Only real issue I can see is that a length 10 string of random lower case letters is given the same rating as a 10 letter long dictionary word (whereas ofc the dictionary word would be cracked first).

It's a pity, I can't imagine I'm the only person in the world who shudders at the idea that my computer should be made 'easy' for me (at the expense of flexibility and power). I'm a type of customer, just as much as the so called 'average u

I'm not sure that charging more is the solution, there's no shortage of people with more money than sense! I don't see why Apple don't invite the developers of high-ranking iOS apps to an early-access program in order to keep their best app
