With Firefox 93, I was restarting the browser 3 or 4 times a day because it kept crashing while playing videos. It would start with videos loading but not playing, and then moments later the whole browser would lock up and leave no choice

I think military dishes aren't necessarily pointed at friendly satellites. They might be eavesdropping on foreign satellites and the domes might serve to conceal which from prying eyes. I suspect large dishes may have utility in such

Of course. Bias and prejudice is always a real concern. In situations where the teacher gets it wrong and punishes the bullied kid, the kid learns an unfortunate but useful lesson; that some agents of the system cannot be relied on. But

I use uMatrix to block 3rd party image requests by default, so gifs would have the same "problem". Of course it's not actually a problem at all, if the user chooses to block 3rd party images or video, that is their prerogati

Massive gifs of screen recordings embedded in github readme pages is really obnoxious. Gif is a terrible format for these, the files are frequently several megabytes where a modern video format might have it crisp and legible under 100KB.

Yes. The performance of playing gifs is awful. Even better if gif autoplaying could be gated by the dimension of the gif. Under 100x100? That's fine, autoplay it. But some nutjob's 1000x1000 gif? Please spare me.

I practice general search engine avoidance; I don't use a general search engine (google, bing, duck, yandex, etc) if I believe a more specialized search engine will give me what I am looking for. In this circumstance, it's easy

Encouraging your employees to be political activists at work, regardless of affiliation, seems firmly in 'stupid games; stupid prizes' territory. I don't think that applies just to progressive activism.
