Still waiting on a neural network sampler. I'm worried that by the time someone makes one all of the sweet artifacts will be ironed out though.

I have no memory of opting in to this, but it was installed on my phone. Updated to add: well I'll be, an hour after this comment and seeing the link show me that Mass Notification was installed, I was prompted to opt-in appropos of no

It helps to start with a less complex game and learn the basics of how the engine works. I know in Godot at least (and I assume Unity is miles ahead) there are prefab things to do what you describe but you will need to know how to fit them

I'd like to be very sure that some AI processes don't have more of a subjective experience than a bug. I don't want to need to worry about kicking my kubes pods destroying artificial life.

It's kinda too late now though, since most of those people are vaccinated now so they'll have antibodies already, right?

I got really into using gopher and Gemini a few years ago while playing on SDF, but I was never able to find anything that held my interest and I don't think I ended up setting up my own phlog. Maybe my dopamine circuits have been ream

IRC Cloud did a great job of making IRC useable and added a lot of value to Freenode.

They could sell them as supplements but then they wouldn't be legally able to claim efficacy or be billed as medicine. They can't make nearly as much money without FDA approval.

Kafka S3 dumping would be amazing, could really clean up our tooling. I'll check out your product as well.

Yeah my workflow on my last 3d game required 'layers' in the texture so I had to set up that layering in the shader, rough spray the general idea of what I wanted onto the model, export everything, edit the textures in Gimp to mak

Being able to use Gimp's feature set in the 3d view while texture editing would be mindblowing. Or even just seeing changes live on the model.

AWS managed kafka is great but it's really just Kafka. Confluent offers stuff like topic monitoring, an http bridge, and other services that make kafka more practical to actually use (dare I say, missing features.) My company uses Kafk

I agree with most of these complaints, but only if you're speaking purely about MacOS. Everything is fine on Windows and Lubuntu (I use all three more or less daily.) Only MacOS treats my every instruction with either helplessness or m

There's no link to the vst. It would be neat if it was something you could just drop into your DAW and try to train it in wacky effects chains. The artifacts in it's sound might be really neat.

Writing something new in rust is harder than rewriting because you need to think a lot about your memory model up front. In other languages you can leak all the memory you want and then (maybe) figure enough of it out when you've alrea

We can't just flip a few genes around and call it a day. We don't know how to engineer a sustainable food web from scratch. We can hardly balance our own artificial ecosystems without tons of intervention. What good is biodiversit

Just chiming in on the telemetry issue, there are definitely situations where you could accidentally paste/type sensitive data into the terminal, so you'd need to treat any user data from terminal sessions as toxic waste.
