Where is the need of agents for this topic of instant payment? I understand AI and agents can be useful to look for a product and get a consensus on the reviews. However when it comes to instant checkout and payment, some web browsers alrea

This has been driving me crazy, at my mid sized company, higher management insists pretty hard in only hiring senior/staff. But to be honest we are far from solving novel, challenging technical problems. Inevitably we hire (expensive)

It is a big thing in Asia to avoid sunlight to avoid premature aging and tanning. It's an interesting parallel you can observe in parks: in my country in Europe, people will prefer to sit on the benches exposed to the sun first, in Chi

This seems more of a toy. I hope we get to eventually able to use a local Apple LLM model with more flexibility.

The LLM/AI tech has clear use cases and benefits. However, no, I do not need a shoehorned, dedicated AI in every single product and service I use. That is where is the bubble is in my opinion, everywhere the AI is built or applied in c

Am I understanding right the extension was free to download code from internet and execute with enough rights to scan the user's disk? That is wild. Does this mean every company is one bad extension install away from having its entire

In my opinion, sending an AI note taker to a meeting basically means that for the attendee, a recap email written by the meeting organizer would be enough - except that in my experience at least, most meeting organizers aren't writing

Very nice. For me, LLM fills that niche when I need to build something very small. Just built a dumb tiny flashcard webapp (literally a standalone index.html) because I was tired of apps either being either overly complex for my simple use

I rather think that LLMs help to write code faster, and also enables folks that would not program to do so in some capacity. In the end, you end up with more code in the world, and you end up needing more programmers to maintain/keep i

Right, just that from the article I get the vibe that the author makes the case Ukraine got blocked while it's the result of dropping a payment provider, not policy that singles out Ukraine

Potentially unpopular opinion but ultimately it's a private service and they decided to disable payout methods which negatively affects Ukrainian users for the sake of integrating new changes/avoiding legal risk. They don't

China has plenty of bureaucracy, however the transport systems seem well designed and well run, at least in big cities. I wonder how much of that is thanks to the scale. They are (or at least were) launching subway in new cities, and new su

Agreed, hiring has slowed down but this seems more caused by the end of the zero interest rate era. At most I see low level copywriting and low level translation jobs in danger where it is a simpler input/output job flow

Firing developers to replace by AI, how does that realistically work? Okay I fired half of our engineers. Now what? I hire non engineers to use AI to randomly paste code around hoping for the best? What if the AI makes the wrong assumptions

I think resting heart rate is mostly genetic, from what I read it tells very little about fitness - if you're already fit you may already be at your "optimal" heart rate. If you stopped exercising it may go up.
