Alright, fair enough. How could you fix that, though?

The main point of eli_gottlieb's comment was that money is effective at swaying public opinion. This is obvious. It's the whole point of advertising and marketing. I think whether the source is automated or not is a secondary conc

If everyone must speak at the same volume, then broadcasting or any kind or public speaking are impossible. All communication must consist of 1-on-1 conversations or among small groups. If you allow broadcasting, then eventually some voices

Of course, if the service is one that everyone needs or that everyone can benefit from, it makes no sense to privatize it Everyone --($$$)--> Private enterprise --($)--> Taxes .......................................--($)--> Actual

I am merely objecting to referring to the "Western" part of a landmass that occupies a complete parallel line. Talking about the laterality of a quasi-spherical object is tenuous, as well.

Does it then follow that the half between meridians +90° and -90° is "Northern Antarctica"?

What, exactly, is "West Antarctica"?

I didn't know that! What a stupid position to have. Do they also think that the abundance of air competes unfairly with air salesmen?

Oh, okay, then. I thought you were saying that that was a problem specific to iterating by reference.

If a pointer/reference escapes the loop you'll have problems whether the thing to the right of the colon is a reference or a copy. If it's a copy, the escaped reference will definitely be invalid once that iteration complet

I'm typing this on a Model M from 1990 connected to a PS/2 port. It works just fine.

It would also be no more or less useful than just speaking. Do Japanese people carry around flash cards with kanji on them to disambiguate their speech?

Why don't you just put a firewall between the machine you want to stay untouched and the Internet. Block all outgoing connection attempts to Microsoft servers. "Firewall block windows update" seems to return relevant results.

Is it just me, or does the crashes data look really noisy? Yes, since 2001 the maxima are clearly lower, but in the period 1974-2001 I don't see a lot of difference with the period 1950-1974.

No, it's not. Maybe for USD 50, but 300 is far too much when Maxima solves most of the same problems.

I don't think this is actually true. Can you cite any sources referring to copyright as inalienable in the US?

Sure, but that's why the example only says that the person installed the software. Also, question: What if, unknowingly to this person, the OS had been modified to act as a BitTorrent client and seed copies of itself?

In that case, no, Microsoft would not be able to do anything to someone who found a Windows DVD modified to remove the EULA check: 1. Copyright would not be involved because copyright cover the reproduction and distribution of content. You
