Don't get me wrong, the app is fairly ridiculous. Projects like this though help show what even the simplest of concepts can provide, though. To be fair, I'm not sure how secure YoAuth would be, but this particular hack seems lik

Pastis is a prankster, but I highly doubt that his claim is fake. Pearls Before Swine is a well-known comic of its own right, without much need to fake a claim about working with Bill Watterson

I expected an article commenting on fatalities on some tug-of-war metaphor — for instance, a power-struggle between two countries. I was surprised (and possibly delighted) to find that this article was actually about tug-of-war.

More to the point, I think, why would you post it? The author clearly didn't want fan-made ebooks out there and the blog basically gave a step-by-step converter, given the correct url.

That's a great point. I suppose the problem that I see here is that schools often present problems as always having a solution, even when there's none to be found.

I think perhaps a better setup to the problem for a child might be to make a question that is possible to answer, but has extraneous information. Something like: "There are 12 children, 3 bats, 15 balls, and 2 swings. If everyone is

Right now "ockhams" is trending with 17 mentions and "razor" is trending with 15 mentions. Does that mean that someone just said "ockhams" twice?

Looks nice. I think collection price and track price might be reversed on the example site, though. Track price for one was 11.99, where the collection was 0.99.

I love the page. I was kind of hoping the transition to the function page used the easing that I selected, though.

I think nonchalance is arguing more to the point that this was not a "lottery winner." It was a good idea from the start, because it filled a need people actually knew about, instead of filling a need that people didn't kno

You, sir, have easily made my evening. Also, I've found that "right arrow" seems to go forward, but it's impossible to go back. As for your VCR, you may have just found yourself in an endless time loop.

It took me five minutes to figure out how to navigate past that first page. I thought it was some sort of joke that I just wasn't getting. On that note, I was only able to get the "right arrow" key to allow me to move forwar

I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet, but I wonder how it would handle a query to find all the "baz" elements for a structure like this: http://pastebin.com/m7qTy8kw . Does it just support a loo

The thing that I never see mentioned here is that it's not actually Amazon listing these items, but third party merchants through Amazon Marketplace. Doesn't that mean that the merchants are the ones setting these "high pric

I love this. Will probably add a bookmarklet or something to load it and use it when debugging. My only question is how it works with prototyped or nested functions, such as the `hide` method that you mentioned. Would you just call Tracin

I use the same pseudonym that I use almost everywhere. On many sites it's directly linked with my first name. I think it's basically the same as my real identity, but I wanted to keep my entire Internet "trail" easy to follow. Searching m

Ah, okay. Honestly, if I have classes that really do need to inherit from each other, I probably won't be using @case to do it anyways. I see this being extremely useful for the many structures that I need in my application (that may requi

I really liked this up until the inheritance bit. Child classes have to be nested classes of the parent doesn't sit right with me. Also, wouldn't it be better if these classes inherited object in some way? For the record, I liked everythin

It sounds like Creole is the same as Markdown, in the sense that it's "trying to find a balance between different languages." It seems that it's not a standard that everyone supports, it's a common denominator that eventually other people

I understand using that because it was what you had, but why would you choose to strip your prompt of useful information? (I'm not trying to degrade the idea here, just wondering what use case it provides. It could have a very good one.

Mine is set _somewhat_ ridiculously large. Just not that large. And it seems like it just gets to be obscene at some point.

Looks useful! The only thing I notice is that if you delete all rows and then add a row, it first shows "NaN" as the first number and then starts numbering from zero. Very small details aside, it looks like a great project!

I used bash for years, I was just forced into zsh at work and loved it. Bash is fine, but I didn't know any of its intricacies. I'm not saying don't use bash. I'm saying don't use bash without learning about how to make it work for you (a

That's a good tip. I try to keep my .vimrc down to about 20 lines and a couple of plugins (NERDTree and solarized, mostly). My .zshrc is probably a bit more dense, but I actually have it orgnized into separate files, and just source them
