YouTube's recommendations are arguably just as good as TikTok's in my opinion. The only difference is that YouTube places the burden of choice on you while TikTok makes every choice for you. If you don't quickly find somethin

That would be the "sound used". The music in the video is specified/labeled before upload so there's no need to actually process the sound of the video.

If the president can't compel Apple/Google to install backdoors, he can't compel them to remove TikTok.

TikTok hasn't always been as big as it is right now obviously. ByteDance acquired TikTok for $1 billion only 3 years ago. TikTok definitely was not as big as peak Vine at that time.

Yeah larger desirable companies already have no shortage of well performing candidates to choose from so why make the interview more fair in any way? That would just make selection more difficult for them. Smaller companies might not have t

Technical interviews problems do sometimes actually resemble some discussions that happen in the real world however there are two major problems that I see in the interview space that don't have clear solutions: 1) one or two people in

Most programming languages have a nice delineation between a dictionary and an object but they are one and the same in JS and that'll throw plenty of traditional programmers for a loop.

I think it just comes from the fact that solutions that come up in leetcode/HackerRank discussions are often unreadable gibberish.

The only problem I see here is that either you guys are not using a file structure that makes sense to everyone or you're sharing links for random things and the people receiving those links are losing/ignoring them. Neither of th

I think you're just mistaking Twitch for a recent unicorn. Twitch grew completely organically from Justin.TV in the mid-late 00's and the demands for hosting something like Justin.TV we're far lower than they are for Twitch n

I think ultimately their buyout of Ninja, Shroud and others flopped hard. These guys drew huge numbers for Twitch and we're not even performing half as well on Mixer and this is not to mention that these guys we're at liberty to s

The audiophile definition of a "warm" sound signature has nothing to do with distortion and audiophile's do not "eschew fidelity" for different sound signatures.

The test bed in this review uses a decade old air cooler and the "real world" power draw was measured to be 125-150W peaking at 200W.

The test bed for this review uses a "Thermalright TRUE Copper" cooler which looks to be an air cooler from the mid-to-late 2000's. Needless to say Anandtech probably didn't run their benchmarks with insufficient cooling.

If DOM manipulation is rarely needed then your web app isn't complex, it's at most a collection of CRUD pages. UI Frameworks like React are for building UI's that accomplish a lot more than that through frequent DOM manipulat

The difference now is it's only a "wild west" as far as app structure goes. Developers still need to put a lot of thought into component composition and app state to maintain a quality code base. Previously you had to do all
