I was being sarcastic - high score on captcha probably means G knows too much about you. That said, I don't think the scores are reliable. It is possible (probable even) that G is still running experiments.

On a flip side: you really should check privacy settings in your Firefox, it seems Google can track you easily there. ;)

This, so much! Whenever I could I avoided taking notes and instead copied them from classmates or studied from books.

Did anyone figure out what to do with failing SD cards and USB keys? I gave up trying to reinstall everything on my Pi after (almost) every power loss.

I know that was sarcasm, but I don't think it applies to Apple. Their managers seem to be employed long-term and they seem to be loyal.

I know of someone who tried to backup company wiki with wget. There were links that would delete pages, "protected" by some JavaScript which didn’t get triggered. Fortunately they had some real backups, but the error seems to be q

This is the sole reason why I would never think about "owning" (if you can call it that) a Tesla.

You need to be careful though. For example for Commons Clause they accepted changes by Drew Vault (ironically the author of the article we are discussing here) which are misleading at best. Now it says that commercial use is not allowed [0]

Interesting that most comments deal with why flat structure doesn't work. Newsflash: of course there is always a boss. Someone needs to sign the paycheck after all. But the term "flat structure" usually refers to lack of mid

Couldn't agree more, except with meta comment 3 it is very important to describe the bad thing, so that future me knows if he can safely rewrite this or not.

That is seriously weird. I don't have the fastest machine possible yet FF starts in a second or two. Bigger problem are the apps that consume too much CPU and memory. Unfortunately there is no nice way to avoid their killing the whole

Fair to the user - less than with FOSS, but more than with proprietary licenses. Fair to developer, yes. But the problem for me is that if developers don't have incentives aligned with their users', then we get low quality softwar

Yes, I think we are in agreement. Except that MIT is not as well understood as most people think it is (Kyle Mitchell wrote about it, can't find the link right now), so you might want to lawyer up for opensource too. :) I just think a
