It would be interesting to profile these sites and make PRs for Firefox to fix any possible issues, then see how long it takes for Google to find new ways to make them slow again.

When was the last time you could install anything on Windows without rebooting? I'm exaggerating a bit, but not much.

Otoh, why even bother with Chrome, when you have Firefox, Brave and others to choose from? It's not like there is any substantial difference between them. At this point we don't need (extra) evidence of wrongdoing, the incentives

Humour is what drew me to it the first time I read it. A friend pointed out that there are some hidden jokes that only make sense when you already know how it will end, so I read it again, and again... And kept discovering new layers. With

I think they are talking about Konqueror, not QT. Konqueror is what KHTML was developed for, iirc.

Yes, it is not. But who cares? What I care about as a user is repairability: * can I inspect source and build it myself? * can I fix it? * can I share modifications with others? Many of the new "cloud protection licenses" offer t

By having leaders who want this and who know how to achieve it. It is simply a matter of principles and trust (both ways). Granted, I have only seen this in companies up to 100 employees...

This is not a bad solution, as long as the teams are on the same side (and know it too). I strongly believe that toxic culture is neither needed nor useful, ever.

Our "solution" is to have 2 GitLab instances, one CE for projects used by guests, and the other one (paid) for regular users. Infuriating.
