Well, I've watched about a few hours of survival content on Youtube, so I think I'm ready for solo backpacking in Ontario. I will definitely be reading a survival book. Any recommendations?

Thanks, I'll give ollama a go! I don't want to access the internet at all once I hit the road. Also, I may not have cell signal depending on how deep I go.

To clarify, I’ll be off-grid and offline, likely without cell service depending on how deep I go. I want to be able to take photos and ask questions for dealing with unexpected issues.

This is the greatest thing I've seen in a few years. Perfectly encapsulates the simulacrum we find ourselves in the modern world.

I think if the assets are served in the html from ipfs gateway, then it doesn't add to your outbound traffic. Also once browsers support natively ipfs:// static content the game changes and the IPFS party really gets started.

Homebrew keeps me on MacOS, without it I'd just use apt on Linux. Does anyone know if there's a site like brew.sh for searching apt packages? I know that ubuntu has an apt page but it's really confusing.
