Only though strict regulation and law against ad-blockers can the free market capitalism of democratic online publishing survive.

You assume that every app developer is out to make money. This is not more true than that every PC application developer is out to make money. Some people make free software and gives it away for free. That's not a race to the bottom,

Ah, that makes a lot more sense! I thought we had people sitting around talking about what funny picture to put in Unicode next. It's much more understandable if it's something that already exists that's being "ported in

I've never quite understood the emoji thing, can somebody explain it to me? Why are "funny" symbols and pictures being put into the Unicode standard? I thought the point of extending the standard with symbols is to accommodat

Hopefully as WebGL gets more and more uses there will be more effort in supporting it properly driver wise. I suspect the reason support is so inconsistent right now is because there hasn't been enough demand to bring focus on it.

> a site with great content should not be penalized for the site's own choices on ads Yes it should! If those ads are hostile to the user they should definitely be penalized no matter how great their content is.

It's not just that people have to stand in line. They also have to go between a bunch of different stores since Milk producers have an exclusive contract with Walmart and Bread producers have an exclusive contract with 7-Eleven. Furthe

How can it determine dead code for such a dynamic language like JavaScript? Is it limited to obvious stuff like things after a "return;" statement that cannot run? Because I don't see how it could remove unused functions when

Because JavaScript doesn't give you the option of programmatically messing with the user's clipboard. The best you can do is present a selected string in a textbox for the user to press Ctrl+C
