Working for a Midwest dialup isp in the early 2000s, we definitely served some of our smaller POPs with PTP wireless backbones, thanks in part to vast expanses of flat land with fairly tall structures dotted throughout.

Why is this on HN? This isnt even remotely related, all I see is Europeans not understanding the f'ed up wage policies of the US, and people from the US acting entitled like they do in restaurants.

@akling, I want to take a moment to comment just how amazing recovery can be. As someone who's suffered some similar substance issues. Thank you for being a great example of just how amazing of a place the mind can be when its trained
