You're far less likely to suddenly encounter unexpected conditions when flying though; the sky has a tendency to be nothing but air, while the ground has a tendency to be filled with things you have to avoid, many of which are moving.

My sister used to keep rats and they erected a little barrier from cardboard in front of the food bowl because one of the dogs used to come over to watch them and they didn't like food that had dog breath all over it. Very intelligent

It's easy to image that a bird wouldn't do anything to a plane, but that doesn't mean that birdstrike can't bring down airliners. You might only suffer minor damage but you could also lose an engine or a control surface.

A parked car is easy to see and easy to predict what it will do next. A drone is hard to keep track of and could move in any direction at any time, and if it collides with the plane could knock it out of the sky.
