Having been through more "classic" VC a couple of times and now PE as well I agree. PE is so much more nefarious and damaging. When you take 100+ M of VC gasoline and pour it on the fire everyone can see what's happening. PE

I grew up without any dental coverage and you are right; if you say first thing "I have no coverage and pay for everything out of pocket" you typically get a very different experience. It's not just the dentists that are perf

Yeah my initial reaction was you're comparing today's air freight in a static state with your envisioned optimal airship model; that's not realistic. The alternative to spending big on an entire new industry isn't doing

A lot of punk has always had an anti-success edge, which seems really unfair. It should be more about DIY and freedom outside what was (in the 90's) a very restrictive, fixed business model. NOFX are the best of example of the punk aes

It's very catchy, but not super-impressive musically IMO, however it had a huge impact on the scene and entire ecosystem at the time. Many other bands piggy-backed off their success, which I'm not sure happens as much in today

If it comes down to an old guy who loves trains and a younger west coast lawyer I think I'll stick with the trains. They're all politicians first though, so does it really make a difference?

Google workspace is expensive and a big money maker on any scale - except compared to the Google ad machine. This would be a very successful independent business and killing free gmail would not necessarily be a bad move.
