I agree. I imagine most first-time Windows users are children shown the ropes by their parents who are thus less likely to search when they can't figure something out, while a large portion of first-time OS X users are teenagers or adu

I'm not so sure. I'm Dutch as well, and when I recite my email address I use the English "at", so "douwemaan at domain" rather than the unwieldy (4 syllables long!) "douwemaan apenstaartje domain". In

Note that in the case of "XSS on a google-controlled domain," the malicious actor could just use JavaScript's pushState or replaceState APIs to modify the path in the address bar to "renew_subscription" or whatever.

Interesting. I know 3 people with Pebbles and have one myself, and none of us have had any problems of the sort. At one point my charging cable broke, probably due to my transporting it rolled up, but that's it.
