I think the point is somebody, somewhere, started the ball rolling with the various governments. Everyone in the government didn’t all wake up one morning and simultaneously decide to oppose the Nazis.

This is such a beautiful example. We all want change, but giving up modern conveniences is so hard. We might mock the people and their private planes but I don’t doubt someone would mock me for my cars, central air conditioning, etc.

Kitchen appliances are the easy and almost ignorable bit. What about: * controls for railroad track switching * hardware in air traffic control radars * hardware that controls elevators * firmware for traffic lights * guidance systems in o

I think the key is you’d have to pay them very significantly more. I have a buddy that can earn $200 in tips in 5 hours on a busy night. Nobody is going to pay a waiter $40/hour.

Churchs are organizations of people. Those people live and experience life just like people in unions, political parties, companies, social clubs and sports teams. Why do they get singled out and not allowed to express their opinions base

It feels to me like we are seeing that with organic food, which used to be rare and hard to find, but now you can find some of it at Walmart. Maybe see how that niche did it and copy it? I’m sure this is a decade(s) long issue to work on.

How is a neti pot worse than steam in the shower? I’m surprised at this.

I’ve wanted to so something similar, adding tracking of the authors to see who is able to have an impact, or who is always wrong.

I remember seeing Mosaic and thinking “meh, not much more than gopher”. I sure didn’t have the vision of where all that would lead!

I hope you’re joking. People living under hostile government rule are also humans just like you and me, and deserve to be happy and healthy too. If anything, they might need more help because of their hostile environment.

Isn’t gender defined by X and Y chromosones? It seems as well defined (or fluid) as age.

> Going against our primal instincts is essential for a productive society. I’m debating with myself about that statement. Is the goal of society a high amount of productivity, or stable, happy families and relationships? It seems mean

Very hard to tell who is hooked. Someone close to me had been using opiods for many years and is still in terrible pain most days. This person’s meds keep getting cut due to opiod-fear, which just increases the misery. So please remember

Replace “Trump” with “gay marriage” and pretty much nobody would agree with your argument. It would be viewed as hate.

We definitely get excited when people we understand are hurt, but easily ignore those we don’t. I don’t know why that is. I find myself doing it sometimes. It is sad.

I use PA Server Monitor. The Web Page monitor can check a URL, submitting form data if configured, and check for text on the returned page. It can also alert if the SSL cert is within X days of expiring. https://www.poweradmin.c

Can’t Google do manual penalties for some sites? How hard would it be for them to do manual bonuses for the top 100 sites in the world. That would be pretty much equivalent to domain authority, and I expect Google is doing just that.

I’m sorry to hear about your experiences. As his friend early on, do you think anything ‘triggered’ the disease? Trying drugs, abuse, trauma, anything? Or is it just something that sort of slowly grew and evolved?
