I’m not even quite an arm chair scientist, but this seems like a big deal to me. It seems like it would affect a lot of assumptions that have been made over time involving evaporation like weather and climate predictions. Can anyone that

I’ve also completely switched to Kagi and have been very happy - happy enough to pay for it. As is said so often: “it’s amazing what happens when _you_ are not the product”.

Growing up, I knew maybe two or three kids that had emotional problems. Now (as an adult with grown kids) I hardly know any families that don’t have such a person. I’m sure part of it is we’re more open, which is great, but I can’t attrib

Another recent kagi convert here. It really is great, and a great deal at $10/month. I seriously doubt I’ll ever go back.

A buddy runs the traffic lights for a midsized city. One issue they’re running into is sensors/cameras failing after X years and not having the budget to replace them when needed. All the fancy algorithms are only as good as the data

You are in Pittsburg, and were born in Pittsburg (and thus a US citizen) but can’t get some jobs because you don’t have an EU passport? This isn’t adding up.

It doesn’t have a safety bar? That’s why you can’t shower? Or it’s dirty?? Wear flip-flops in the shower as is done in much of the world. I won’t pretend to understand what is going on, but that statement about the shower is a red flag

I’m not sure I agree. I hear from lots of people wanting to buy my business IF it’s making at least $5 million/year (it’s not). $500K/year might get you a 2X exit, and $1M is nothing to sneeze at, but it’s not early retirement m

Well, I was with someone who had threatened to kill me, and I took that threat very seriously, as it was also made very seriously. It was sort of watching a film that was doing fast forward through my life. I could see it playing in front

I experienced the “life flashing before my eyes” once. It was a situation where I thought I was about to die. It was like a very high speed real of all my memories playing. I was amazed (while it was happening) that it was happening just

I’m not sure about that any more either. Read about the NHS in the UK - sounds like it is a dumpster fire and people are dying.

That’s part of it, but having a “baby mama” (i.e. never married/living together in the first place), is also an issue. I know a guy that is 21 that has already fathered 4 children with 3 women, and is supporting none of them. It’s sa

But I think you made my point. “Exercising control” (your words) is needed because there is a biological drive in play. Bared breasts triggers that drive to some degree. To pretend otherwise isn’t being honest.

But I think it denies basic reptile-brain responses that are hard wired. Men can consciously fight those responses, but we can’t just make them go away, through training or legislation. Playboy didn’t build an empire because men love thin

Doesn’t that have to assume that all deals came through advertising? In my case I find more and more sales are word of mouth or from organic search, but it’s very hard to measure (at least in B2B).

I’ve engaged a few times just to see what they’re after. Eventually I tell them I know what is going on, they are a thief, and suggest they change their life so their mother can be proud of them. They REALLY do not like hearing that.

That seems like a sign that the problem you’re solving isn’t painful enough for the client. They pay for all kinds of things that are important to them. So either what you’re providing isn’t important enough to them, or it could be import
