Can you point to the triple A derivatives blowing up? I’d like to read more about that.

Besides paying money you also go through a (pretty simplistic) audit. It’s about the only way we have to know who published some code, which is important. If you can come up with a better way you should implement it and we’ll all follow.

Thank you for your insights. It’s making me question if term limits is the solution I always thought it would be.

I wonder what would cause that. It seems intuitive that it would happen, but like the other commenter I don’t recall any bad smells when we used on growing up. But it was also a very dry climate, so maybe that is the solution?

I agree with you. I misread “VCS” for “git” and that’s where my (mistaken) disagreement came from.

I suspect Apple doesn’t have access to everything typed into a web form, or in a notes app, even if those values are erased/backspaces, not saved, not submitted. But Recall does. All usernames in all apps/websites. The content

I understand the sentiment, but I have a hard time seeing any educational value is 99% of anything I’ve ever seen on tiktok. There definitely were bad teaches, and I assume still are. But the window and paper airplanes weren’t tuned to su

Causing death threats seems cruel and unusual. Taking away money and a platform doesn’t seem in the same league.

Seriously? Maybe I’m blind (and if so please point out what I’m missing) but I only see one side that: * seems to be increasing and supporting racism * has members trying to start a race war (see recent news) * has many members saying it’s

My mother and I were just discussing how dumb people have gotten in just the past few years. It’s like they don’t think any deeper than a meme - no nuance is considered. You easily see it in the political realm. The only thing we can com

Realistically, who would ever use this? An OCR of everything on the screen, saved every few seconds? I can’t imagine finding something useful in a haystack of that size.

So your personal net income in 2022 was $10,447? That’s not enough to live on so I must be misreading it.

I’ll chime in on this - my wife and I were just talking about it yesterday. I’m mid 50’s. I had perfect 20/20 eye sight until about age 50, and now I can’t read almost anything without reading glasses - it came on quickly, but doesn’t

Sometimes it seems like there is no choice but to be strong. But in reality someone could choose to give up and give in and quit. Not making that choice is what we admire in people, and you in particular.

I suspect the reason is AI isn’t trustable for important things (yet?) so they can’t do the big cool things without getting sued out of existence when the AI destroys lives because of bad medical or investment or safety advice.
