One of the biggest benefits of the Pico is it has PIO cores so you can still bitbang data like Arduino with tight timings while running everything else on a modern ARM core. Without this, I do not see this Pine board meeting the same needs.

It seems like it takes a long time to process/calculate the simulation. Is this done server side? Is there a reason for the slowness?

Just had a card "skimmed" and it just happened the day after a food place refused to take ApplePay because it was "down". At this point I would love to have burner cards for dealing with problems like this.

Heat pumps are 2 to 4 times more efficient, and if you are in MA you can get upto a $10,000 rebate and 0% loan when purchasing a heatpump. Why would you stick with oil heat? Even if it drops to $2 it will be much cheaper to have a heatpump.

Insulation and air sealing of residential construction has barely increased in the past ~40 years. The technology to build higher efficient homes has been around since the 70s, and if done during initial construction would easily pay for th

Since houses have been built rather similarly from 1950s to today they would use very similar energy usage. Until we change how homes are built we wont see drastic decreases in energy use. Comparing California to Arizona is very misleading,
