Exact same situation I observe, though I know a lot of parents who are instead opting for a Kindle Fire for their kids since it's much cheaper to replace and it's mostly used for videos and simple games anyway.

The "iPad Pro" is the same iPad as it always was, the "Pro" is marketing. A member of my family was hustled into buying an iPad "Pro" from a sales rep who convinced them it can do everything and more, yet they

Dig a big moat and fill it with alligators, each alligator gets a $5000 tax credit so the more alligators the bigger the tax credit? Anyway, "ditch" as in lose or remove, it's American slang.

Give people a tax credit to ditch their lawn. That with having a lawn tax (or excess water use tax) would be an effective solution to reduce what is generally a waste of water and a poor use of space, particularly in arid regions.

HOAs are the height of absurdity pertaining to land ownership, I will never understand why someone would volunteer to pay a monthly fee (basically a tax) to have a group of bozos tell you what you can and can't do with your own propert

Interesting, I always thought the incentive to grow grapes was rapid production compared to other crops. Are you in Sonoma or somewhere land is cost prohibitive?

Find a niche and charge a premium. Or, make something addictive and use in-app purchases. I am not sure there is another way. I'd love to be wrong but I tend to think any semblance of an app store gold rush passed by 5+ years ago.

$16 in Napa is probably $2 in Nebraska. The cost of living there is so much lower than California you can barely compare the two. Homes are 1/10th the price or less. You can find a nice house in Omaha for $175k that would cost about $2

Yes which does an even better job of proving the point. When the economy was worse and unemployment was higher, why didn't the huge numbers of unemployed who need jobs take those available jobs? Hmm!
