This cannot be argued. But many people conflate worth of skills and accomplishments with worth as a person. They over reduce the dimensionality of a superiority vector. And worse, assume transitivity of the elements composing said vector.

It is funny that you mention "game theory, maximize, benefit and central decision structure". Because I can draw a rough analogy from game theory and argue why a central decision structure likely exists at least implicitly. What we have he

You're right and make an excellent point. But the other platforms are also going to have to work on increasing the revenue per app for the developer or obsolete themselves. So the current state of affairs might only hold for a few years or

I don't know if that is necessarily ideal for Apple or any of the other platforms for that matter. What is to stop the next platform from offering 19%, 20% or even 25% non exclusive cut and 15% Exclusive? Competing over the percent of profi

See, the article is not arguing that. The article has nothing against latent variable(s) to account for what we observe as intelligence. What it is against is, misapplication of methodology. The myth is not in a latent variable summarizing

Complexity is not equal because the hidden variables of g (I will use it as you do for now) is not equal to the hidden variables of pressure. The term statistical myth is appropriate because g is a myth. It is not backed by any direct exper

I do not care about the downvoting. But I am guessing it is due to my saying that biology is harder than physics [1]. Perhaps I should clarify to say that a broad mathematical understanding of biology is a harder problem than doing so for

A flaw with your argument is that biology is harder than physics. That is, the interactions of the elementary constituents of biology are many orders of magnitude vastly more complex than those of the point particles found in newtonian phys

You make a large mistake here. I feel that the only way your argument holds is by assuming its conclusion. Which would be: what is going on in [some/most] of our brain is something more than or very different from 'just' statistical inferen

It does no such thing, it is very likely that AI will be made up of a bunch of specialized interacting subsystems. As for No Free Lunch Theorem. See: Coevolutionary Free Lunch. Which by the way, is actually more akin to biological evolution

How is Godel's incompleteness theorems an issue here? AI does not have to model the human brain by simulating it. And it need not be rigorously/axiomatically defined as a decidable formal system nor does it need the ability to prove its own
