It's weird that people are blaming a search engine for providing relative links for discussion on a topic. Again, it's a search engine first and foremost, not a media outlet . It indexes media outlets. It shouldn't be

you can swap x230/t430 to the x220/t420 keyboard, for what it's worth. sticking point to me on the X220/230 is that 1366x768 screen, but I believe the X230 can be upgraded to 1080p.

Yeah, the best we can hope for is that keyboard being an option on the T series moving forward. I really don't want to switch to chiclets when my T420 finally stops being perfect.

With Google Translate, you can use the service offline by downloading language packs. Now, I'd assume that if you use it offline, Google will cache your conversations and upload them the next time your device has connectivity. But wh

I feel like this already should be commonplace. I used Google Translate back in 2014 on a trip to Japan. Really came in useful when a hotel didn't have my reservation. Since then they've added the conversational mode that effectiv

It seems these only work in this fashion with Pixel devices. I understand they're trying to create an air of exclusivity but it really just comes off kind of greedy and dickish when in reality, any earbuds with a microphone should

I know it makes me sound like a crotchety old man, but I just can't justify giving my lightbulbs access to my home network when the wall switches I already have seem to work just fine.

People always jump up and defend IoT devices, and while they make reasonable points (you can monitor their bandwidth, you already have a smartphone, etc), I'm just not willing to provide yet another potential entry point into my pers

All Google-branded products are blacklisted on Amazon. If you search for "Chromecast", your results will be Fire Sticks and then knockoff Chromecasts called "Anycast".

I use a Model M and remap capslock to super/windows button. I'm so used to it I remap it on laptops as well. Have never come across an instance to actually use all caps.

maybe you could pull down changes on a daily basis? not a complete reindex but just updates that prune dead links and add new ones. the problem is this would be completely useless for current events. but querying sites you use regularly, th

If we still paid for software like we did 15 years ago, we'd probably have a perfect solution by now. Instead we have a bunch of "free" options that all want to harvest our data.
