I once wrote a vital satellite maneuver orchestration software, which had to parse various files and call models. Simultaneously the scariest and proudest moment in my career, but the alternative was Fortran or C.

I worked with multiple ops/infra teams, and have seen standard server rooms and advanced server rooms. They’re not supposed to have pipes leaking on the racks, that’s ridiculous. I know many stable redhat servers that didn’t need to re

I love that 1/0 = infinity in JS. It's as pragmatic as a tired student doing their algebra homework at 1AM :))

Perhaps the effort/reward they get from office release does not apply to a freemium chat service that’s constantly updating?

There is a valid criticism everyone can agree with, but the "solution" is really vague and hand wavy. There is basically no solution. This is a communication and people problem as old as social structures, and the only thing you c

If type analysis tools show different issues, fixing one should not break the other, unless the other is wrong? They both are trying to model the same language/runtime.

How are three type systems? The type annotations are part of the Python 3. You can use multiple libraries to analyze the types. There are also multiple static type analysis tools for C, and for other languages that have type definitions as

There are actually clear answers to all your questions. All the tools you listed do different things, except maybe poetry and pipenv, so you can pick whichever one you like, you're not supposed to do anything. You can have choice, il

Are they not compatible solutions? I understand if the development is very fast you want to have focus, but the goal here is performance , it seems worth to at least coordinate. I hope it happens!!

no, into common block maps. it's filesystem compression and deduplication, and it works great, on a lower level from libraries. I use it with ZFS and btrfs, works wonders.

That’s exactly how I use LXD on Ubuntu. CoW with zfs or btrfs makes running sites on dedicated servers quite easy, and allows to experiment with upgrades, or other random stuff.

This is why I started using Conda recently. It works quite well to create isolated python environments, having many prebuilt packages, and most importantly, system level dependencies. So, you can install some of those, and for anything that
