This entirely misses the point IMO. Social media is the most powerful propaganda/idea pushing machine in the history of the world and it ain't even close. Lies, half truths, and everything in between are presented in the most riv

> 50% of the population that thinks rushing the capital This is bad thinking IMO. If we expand upon this logic: - 50% wants to rush the capital - 50% want to riot in the streets and burn down businesses Then we essentially live in a war

Your point is valid and I agree. It was obvious this lady never handled a gun. I wonder how many people get killed/injured due to lack of training? I would argue that not having training is just as bad as not having a gun at all. If

I was stunned while purchasing my most recent firearm (about 6 months ago). I watched multiple middle aged, nicely dressed ladies purchasing guns. One lady even had the new gun taken away from her because she was pointing it at others (no

This whole Game Stop situation has made the power of the rich so obvious and disgusting. They temporarily shut down the market, banned the discord server, and are now preventing people from buying stocks on the most popular app used by smal

I feel like every presidential election the loser/loser's party tries to de-legitimize the results in some way. This is not good and we've seen what it can lead to with the capital riot.

Did Google previously donate to those members of Congress who voted against the election results? I may be wrong but I suspect they did not and are making this announcement as a way to pander and improve their social standing. I'd like

The bias you try to point out is not present within me. I also have no proof that big oil is behind this. It's only a guess. I also agree with your thinking. I'm guessing green energy companies are likely running digital propag

If these findings are true, this should be no surprise. If I had to guess, it's big oil that is backing the bot propaganda efforts. I assume if there is large amounts of money or power to be made, then there are most likely some type

This is brilliant! I love the idea and would be willing to contribute if possible. I agree we don't need another social network where new content is posted. We need a way to sift through the large amount of existing content out ther

I never suggested banning words and agree that opinions should not be surpressed. The issue occurring is that bad actors are using social media as a tool to enrage people and shape their opinions. I do not have a solution but I feel as thou

Yes exactly! And as you pointed out, some "bad actors" are not even bots, they are real people working on behalf of some organization. It would be nice if more people were aware that the hyperbolic content they see on social media

I think you're right. We are products of our perception of reality. I just didn't want to get too deep in my summary. I feel that people are manipulated on social media mostly by opinions/narratives and not incorrect facts.

I'm no expert but this is my opinion. 1. We are all products of our environment 2. The internet and social media is becoming a higher percentage of our environment every day 3. Large parts of the internet and social media makes money b

Trump/parler is being de-platformed for "inciting violence" but what exactly does that mean? Obvious case: "Go and hurt that person" Trump's case: "The election was rigged" Trump created a (wrong)cons
