The nontrivial differences are more interesting. To make declarations look similar to use was a gigantic mistake. http://cdecl.org/

Very nice semantics, but hideous syntax. Pascal had it done right with a more linear declaration syntax. C looks like lisp in a bad way if you make slightly nontrivial declarations. Of course to make matters worse somebody went on and made

Really impractical with current technology for augmented reality. Maybe with an overlay on glasses or something, but this is stupid.

Well except for here. This Paul Graham persona must be some kind of inside joke here.

That does not seem inexpensive when you take into account what you actually get.

Why is it that this Schneier guy is mentioned on HN all the time? If it's not Schneier it's this Paul Graham, both of which I have never heard of and that I suspect don't even exist.

Why is there no misogyny in the comments? Surely this blog must be underexposed. I will add some questionable comments so as to mark it as highly popular.

If it just looked a little better I would marry it. I guess this will be replacing women sooner that we can imagine.

Well that's not true unless you publish the recording in some way so that everyone has a chance to watch it.

I can't see how you've been attacked, unless you're a feminist. I don't know if it's insulting in general or insulting to you. It wouldn't be insulting to you if it wasn't insulting to you. That last part is a straw man because you did not

Again you display that you easily assume in place of providing evidence. You assume he meant to insult you, but how can we know unless he explicitly states so? You somehow interpret what I said as telling you to be quiet, but how can what I

Perhaps it may seem that way from your frame of reference just like how this person may interpret Feminism in the way stated from their frame of reference, but I always withhold judgment when there is insufficient information present; It is

At first I suspected that this person may have felt offended by this for some weird reason, but now it seems obvious to me that you are most likely correct in your assessment. Rest assured I have only honorable intentions in noting my littl

I wonder why you felt the need to state that; I did not imply otherwise.

If I do recall correctly if you do not require dynamic insertion/removal; That is, you can make do with a one time construction. You will not need to traverse pointers but can put the trie into one contiguous block of memory.

Sometimes "won't listen" is confused with "won't agree with me on it even though I bring it up more than once."

Who knows, I'll rather use a mixture of languages than C++. C combined with other languages will suffice for now, as most of them are simple enough to understand entirely.

You stay with C++, I want a language I can master entirely. No subset restrictions.

Well that's not entirely true. There has been a vast effort to make a foundation for mathematics with the various set theories. Naive set theory is usually used as a language for creating the mathematical primitives most working mathematici

Then you start looking at foundational mathematics. So you learn ZFC set theory, but wait axioms in ZFC are in FOL. Right so FOL is a foundation that comes before ZFC, but wait sets are used in FOL... Back and forth like this for a while an

I take issue with the "So true" statement. It's either true or false, not a degree of true or false. That would be fuzzy logic or something and that's just bullshit.

No sarcasm, I really mean we have to commit ourselves to investigate and point out all areas where there is an imbalance. Not just where we would want more women or men, in this instance computer science. I think also there is a lack of wom

It's not hostility or derisiveness, it's just pointing out that it's not just our particular profession that attracts so few women. A lot of work in all professions is needed to solve this problem and we must devote all of our time to point
