My guess is you will get some emails directly from this post, but I would also recommend you check you HN office hours ( http://hnofficehours.com/ ) it's basically what you're asking for but for the exchange part.

I'm sorry guys I must be missing something here. I figure that this video and transcript must have some deeper meaning than what I'm grokking from it as it is currently the top story with a whopping ~500 points. To my knowledge, cultural h

After viewing this video I logged into Khan academy to check out the practice tracking features highlighted in the video. Mainly I wanted to see the categorical branching of subjects that they showed. Its a pretty amazing idea and execution

I think you may be confusing viral marketing for a pyramid scheme. Given, pyramid schemes are a form of viral marketing, but exponential growth through sharing is necessary without being sufficient. In this case it works out fine for both

Oh, if only this were true. In fact, the exact opposite is a serious concern for the spread of the internet in the third world. A key characteristic used in defining genocide is the use of popular media to carry out orders. I don't mean t

Hm. I don't mean to start a political argument but I'm not sure I agree with this sentiment. I completely see how starting a company can be justified as helping people by providing jobs. But I don't know how reasonable it is to say that

That's the point. You build up traction in the surrounding area to break into the campuses where there is competition. (again this is just speculation)
