I'm most sympathetic to your argument, but one part is factually incorrect. There are a few examples of people working on the great problems of the day and succeeding, among them: Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch, who developed the method to

That could definitely be true, but what I found was to seek a 'restful' state of physiology was much more helpful than to seek the loss of consciousness I had previously associated with sleep. Insomnia and other things are very re

Read this carefully: I used to think this way as well. This thinking lead me to the exact wrong strategy for naps. There are many stages of sleep; stage 1 through 4, and REM sleep. These, it is hypothesized, have distinct physiological func

I care about these things as well, and have dedicated a few cycles to new concepts in propulsion. If you are ever around the bay area, it would be good to chat. I could give you a tour of LightSail and we could get tea.

Well, you'd be mistaken. There are people who learn 3, heck, even 10 times faster than your standard bright university student, in large part because they needn't wait for formal instruction. You have probably learned at this pa

You should hesitate for a second; your arguments favor exploitation rather than exploration. Bret's work aims to move beyond 'the tiny rectangle' of computer screens, and companies are nearly decade scale commitments. Why not
