Huh. A weighted algorithm, somewhere between Google and the one linked, where you could subtract from sites by amount of JavaScript might be interesting.

I'm not sure I agree with your example. It seems to me it is the exact same as a "Top ten drinks to drink on a rainy day" list. There's simply too many good albums and opinions differ, so a top ten would -just like the d

Having a voice doesn't not equal being heard. Especially not if you define A Voice as writing on Facebook or Twitter. You might as well stand on a box in the dead parts of Detroit and talk politics. Being heard in a democratic country

>Might does not make right in questions of rule of law Sure it does. The laws are written by those who can enforce them. That is by definition those with Might. If that is barbarism then all of earth is under barbarism (and I'd argu

That would be like saying the US belongs to the Native Indians, the Vikings or the British. It might be true, but what is the point exactly? Like it or not but Might Is Right and in less than 20 years Might equals PRC above all else (includ

The same could be said of the US. I'd even go as far as saying it is historically worse in the US.

If you test and gain knowledge and then work to ban testing you are part of the problem. If the US wants to stop others from testing it needs to share all gained knowledge freely or accept it opened pandora's box and cannot shut it

They sorta do. Suzuki have one (Jimny?). Lada have some really good ones for what it is. They can beat the shit out of most US SUVs in most terrain and are absolutely hilarious!

I don't agree that they are in any way related. It's like saying a SUV is like a real truck. Sure if the SUV is big and the truck is tiny. Those "moped cars" are more closely related to a bicycle than a car.

Unless they provide a VPN it is only blocking the not-so-bad-actors. Everyone else use hardcoded DNS IPs. If you look at traffic from an Android phone you will get lots of DNS requests to Google DNS no matter if you use NextDNS or not. If y

What? Apple is even worse. There was a big cry when Google wanted to nuter adblockers API but Apple have done exactly the same thing. You fell into a pr stunt. Apple doesn't care for privacy. Just look at how they scan you pictures..

If they pass CSAM verfied by hash on to human verification inside Apple they break the law. Not even the FBI are allowed to do that. Only NMCEC is an allowed recipient by US federal law.

You are commenting a lot for this many places in the thread. Are you arguing for this system or for Apple? It reads like pro-Apple and doesn't add anything except "I think it is good, therefore it is good".

Not that I disagree that what we have today is a big mess but this sounds to me almost like the philosophy behind the old PHP version that everyone seems to hate. Personally I'd much rather have everything separated in a better HTML&#x

Yes but having choices doesn't take time, only using them does. Picking one OS over the other because of many options is basically saying "I can't have choices because I can't stop myself from using them". What take

Comparing an uncustomized OS to a customized one and then stating that it is a waste of time to customize the OS and hence the OS that cannot be customized is better is a bit... odd. I have no idea what a "custom WiFi icon" is but

That's nonsense. Having options doesn't mean you have to pick one. Having 1 choice or 10 with a default set is the same unless you start digging into options. This smells like "Apple Knows Best".

Being many or a majority doesn't necessarily mean being right though. They are completely unrelated. It's a very weak defense of Apple design choices versus KDE (or anything else).

As a heavy keyboard shortcut user I find it hard to agree. Windows has been better in that regard for a long time and Linux is catching up fast. The rest to me is just unnecessary eye candy, like the hideous animations everywhere on Mac.
